.... This also never really resulted in much of what my parents wanted after I reached a certain age. I performed to most of their “expectations,” while I still rebelled in others. My parents were (and still are) very angry about the fact they can’t control my every move, but there is really nothing they can do.
My parents were wrong to pressure me as much as they did and still do, but in the long run, as much as it has messed me up; they will still lose. It still makes me angry, but there’s nothing I can do about it until I move out, so I don’t see the point in pouting about it ....
