Going deeper, the two poems are essentially different in the willingness of the woman participating in the sexual act. In Alicante, the woman is a willing participant. She even gave him an orange as a present. She herself was a present. However in the other poem, the woman was not supposed to give herself to the man. But the persona found her too tempting to resist that eve ....
