Oedipus’ intentions were strong, he tried to find witnesses and people who knew anything about king Lais’ death, and things about his own life. He tried to hard to right his wrongs even though he was unaware of his wrongdoing. If it wasn’t for his strong intentions it wouldn’t have been this bad. With all of the questioning of the Messenger and the Shepherd he found out too much of what he didn’t really want to know.
